cdr data recovery

CDR (Crash Data Recovery) can be performed in most accidents despite severe damage to the vehicle in question. Inside motor vehicles, a device called an EDR(Event Data Recorder) records data in the event of an accident. They capture information including, but not limited to, speed, acceleration, braking, steering, and air-bag deployment for both Pre-Crash and Crash Pulse data. Extracted EDRs are analyzed via CDR devices for relevant information relating to the accident under investigation. 64% of vehicles made in 2006 were equipped with some form of EDR and in 2013 the NHTSA created a CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) mandating the fitment of EDRs on all cars sold in the USA and Canada irrespective of the country of manufacture. At ARA, we are able to obtain this information from vehicles if it is present.
