Electromechanical Analysis

Electromechanical devices are increasingly part of typical failure analysis investigations. ARA has the expertise and capabilities to test and analyze many electromechanical devices using both destructive and nondestructive techniques. Analysis examples include tasks such as analysis of spring forces in solenoids with our tensile compression tester, finding damaged windings in a failed contactor with the use of computed tomography (CT scanning), or finding material defects or contamination in contacts with scanning electron microscope analysis (SEM and EDS).
