high speed photography

High-speed photography allows for the events not able to be perceived by the naked eye or even a conventional camera. ARA uses high speed cameras to capture moving images with exposures of less than 1/1000 second or frame rates in excess of 250 frames per second. This allows us to view freeze frames of fast-moving objects to understand propulsion, flight path, aerodynamics, how samples work, better understand impact scenarios, and form a multitude of conclusions.
