Premises liability allows victims injured on others’ property to hold owners or managers at fault when they fail to act reasonably in identifying, fixing, and warning about dangerous conditions. The first thing that must be proven in a premise liability investigation is that the defendant owned, occupied, or leased the property. The owner has a duty to inspect the property to make sure it is in reasonable condition for its intended use.
